This product is an add-on to Autodesk Revit, a building design application used to intelligently model building for construction. Commonly users of Revit need to create PDFs and other file exports to communicate with Building Contractors and other consultants who design outside the Revit product for various reasons. Our Add-in used by architects and engineers to streamline the creation of PDF, DWG and other file exports. The Revit default workflow to create these exports and prints is extremely time consuming and needs to be done frequently throughout the project lifecycle.
The exports may represent the following project views:
• Floor Plans
• Sheets
• 3D Building representations
• Building Data
These 4 types of views often number in the 100’s if not 1000’s and again, each must be exported manually if automation is not implemented.
We have an existing tool that assists in the automation, but it’s user interface leaves a lot to be desired. This project is focused on re-designing the existing user interface while maintaining existing capabilities.
Review the product’s webpage, introduction video and an example of a customer submitted UI proposal to better understand the parts of the UI that are needed.
Color Coding:
Please use the attached marketing style guide to derive a color palette for use in the proposed user interface. The tool in this project is in the BIM Batch Suite.
Customer Submitted UI:
We have a customer developed wireframe that is in the running for consideration. Feel free to review the design elements in the 3 major portions of the tool to understand some of the detail that is expected in your submitted wireframe in your proposal.
Expected Deliverables:
1. Full Color User Interface for each major dialog and settings window within the scope of this UI redesign
2. Descriptions of any special functionality in the UI that cannot be easily represented in a still image (IE: sliding control animations)
3. Documentation indicating dialog flow for major user interface transitions that aren't obvious (IE: Nested settings/configuration dialogs)
4. Documentation indicating standardized spacing/padding between/around UI elements to facilitate translating the intended design into production code
