About the job
- In the event of an illness or injury, provide emergency care to students and staff and transport them to a medical institution.
- Manage the student health services operations at the designated site and serve as the center's resource person.
- Give nurse diagnoses and assessments, as well as medication and dressings, to those in need of nursing and medical interventions.
- To assist in organizing yearly physical examinations and do routine height and weight assessments twice a year and every two months, respectively.
- Gather the information required for each person's health issue, distribute it to the relevant department heads, and, after obtaining the clearance of the on-site school physician, inform the administration of these health concerns.
Job instructions
- Plan and support the physical examination process when it takes place in the school.
- Keep up with each student's medical records.
- Make use of the health resources that are now available to give everyone connected to the school the proper care.
- Help with the implementation of medication administration and other school health management procedures for the student with ongoing medical issues.
- In collaboration with the school physician, support the creation of protocols and offer crisis interventions for sudden sickness, trauma, and emotional disorders.
- Encourage and aid in the early detection, monitoring, and reporting of infectious illnesses.
