- Key Result Area: Patient care management, Cleaning & disinfection, Biomedical Waste Rules & Laundry management
- Linens Management: On a daily basis, hospitals utilize large quantity of linens-such as bedding, gowns and scrubs. Hospital housekeepers are responsible for gathering, washing of extremely soiled linen, folding, inspecting, and mending all of the linens used by their facility.
Job instructions
- General responsibilities include carefully handling equipment in all departments and informing the ward. Responsibilities include assisting with sick patients, answering to hospital emergency codes, and notifying Housekeeping Supervisor if general or BMW garbage is not cleared for the day.
- A housekeeper's specific responsibilities include cleaning all allotted rooms. The housekeeper cleans, dusts, sweeps, mops, vacuums, and scrubs. He or she keeps track of all cleaning materials and equipment and ensures that the appropriate department is notified in the event of an emergency.
