About the job
- Ward, its annexes, and surrounding areas are clean.
- Maintain and repair linen and ward equipment.
- Changing and removing bed pans and pee pots.
- Transferring and removing hot water bottles.
- Bedmaking.
- Dispatching specimens.
- Upon admittance, help patients in entering and exiting the bed.
- Transport patients to various hospital departments.
- Assist with patient feeding, water distribution, and utensil cleaning.
- Assist the nurse with patient care, observation, and basic nursing procedures.
Job instructions
- Assist the nurse by retrieving materials from the laundry, disinfecting mattresses, and returning dirty linen to the laundry.
- Clean and dust beds, doors, windows, and furniture.
- Assist with debugging and pest control in the wards.
- Clean walls and doors in the wards.
- Assist in sterilizing devices, appliances, and dressings
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in the ward.
- Participate in staff education and meetings.
- Participate in professional activities.
- Perform additional duties as required.
